Afua is an Associate Partner based in New York, and Team Leader for USAID’s Investment Support Program (ISP) – a 5-year program to facilitate responsible private investment across different sectors globally. Afua brings over 15 years’ experience supporting national governments and international development institutions with organizational strategy, monitoring and evaluation, agriculture sector support and private sector development in emerging and frontier markets.
Some examples of her client engagements include creating an entrepreneurship support strategy for a donor organization, analyzing the supply and demand for agriculture finance across multiple African commodities, providing technical assistance to a West African government’s National Investment Commission, and evaluating the economic and social impact of hotel investments in developing countries.
Prior to joining Dalberg, Afua worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Tanzania and the Ministry of Local Government in Rwanda as an Overseas Development Institute (ODI) Fellow. Afua holds an MSc in Development Studies from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies and a BA(Hons) in Economics and Development Studies from the University of Manchester.
