Partner, Dalberg Advisors

Dayoung Lee is a Partner at Dalberg Advisors based in the Goa office. She is a co-lead of the firm’s global Education to Employment Practice. Her focus areas include early childhood and youth development, gender, EdTech, and innovative finance. Dayoung works at the intersection of strategy and human-centered design and is passionate about leveraging technology to empower women and make quality education accessible for all. 

At Dalberg, she has managed the performance of the world’s largest education development impact bond, advised a leading education foundation in India on the country’s EdTech policy, and developed a theory of change for a $100 million Asian Women Impact Fund. She has worked with leading global foundations, education and youth development NGOs, state governments, and the private sector to develop organizational and investment strategies and design gender-equitable solutions. This included a gender toolkit for the private sector and digital approaches to economically empower rural women.   

With deep expertise in Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL), Dayoung has conducted numerous strategic reviews at portfolio and program levels, such as an early childhood development portfolio of a foundation, a large-scale public health program, and a global creative digital skills program. 

Prior to joining Dalberg, Dayoung was a consultant with the Parthenon Group (now EY-Parthenon), where she worked primarily in the education sector in the United States and Asia. She holds a joint MPP/MBA degree from Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School, and a BA from Stanford University with Honors in Economics and International Relations.
